We were so excited the day we saved Speck and his siblings from euthanasia at a nearby shelter. They were all stunning kittens, but scared and they cried on the way home. We picked up two litters of kittens that day and Speck’s litter was very sick.
They were taken to the Vet’s office to be treated for worms and for an initial exam so that they could be placed on antibiotics. They did a full 10 days of antibiotics, but one of the kittens passed away. It is an absolute miracle that any of the kittens survived and we are so glad that they did.
From the very beginning Speck was always the most active and adventurous of his litter, with the most striking stripes and markings, and the most beautiful eyes and patterns. He stood out to me immediately and once he was well, he boldly walked up to all of the other kittens and just naturally began to socialize and play.
Speck is a unique and loving kitten, with a lot of love for life and for the people that he is surrounded by. His favorite place to sit is on a lap so that he can get all the attention. He has very memorable swirls and other patterns in his coat and he loves to be pet and loved on, any chance he can get.
We are so thankful that God gave us Speck and that he survived such a tough beginning. The world is a better place with him in it and we know he will brighten up the lives of anyone that chooses him for their new family, just like he brightens ours.
Birthday: August 25, 2021
Likes: Other cats and kittens, playing and exploring, being held and loved on, racing his siblings and other cat friends to the food bowl, play and treat time, and discovering the natural world around him.
Looking for: A new family that is looking for a very cuddly and loveable kitten. Must have a lot of time to snuggle, love to pick him up and pet him, and a big bank roll for lots of treats and eats.
Speck is a perfect name for uniquely patterned tabby with a heart the size of the universe and a love for all other humans. He has always been such a small cat compared to his litter mates but he also has the most mighty heart. Speck is a unforgettable kitten with a highly socialized personality and he will be a lifelong constant companion to the lucky family he that takes him home.
He needs a family that will love him as deeply and unconditionally as he loves. He is an incredible blessing and I am so glad he survived and is here with us. If you want a family pet that will brighten up your household and will become an incredible new addition to your loving family, Speck is all those things and more.
Speck has had all of his shots, including FeLV, has been dewormed and has been treated for fleas and ticks. He is fully litter box trained and is available for adoption by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
