When Keats first came to us he was bleeding and had a deep intentionally cut hole in his side. He had been abandoned out by a campsite at the lake with his other three siblings and he was in poor shape. He just sat in the carrier, huddled together with his siblings while they all cried for help. Our wonderful Vet gave me some reassuring at home care instructions and several words of encouragement, and we discovered they had all been cut.
So I took them all home, treated their wounds, began the hard work of starting a cat and kitten rescue, and Keats and his three siblings would be our first adoptable pets.

About Keats
Keats is one of the sweetest and most loving cats I’ve ever met and he has been appropriately named after John Keats, one of the greatest poets who has ever lived. I imagine him as a poet when I see how curious he is about life and the world around him. He runs towards children and visitors too and has never met a human he did not like. He is most definitely a lap cat with a lot of love to give and he loves company whether it’s other animals or people.
Keats is one of the most lovingly, brave and adventurous kittens I have ever met and he will easily become an important part of a loving family.
He needs a family that will love him as deeply and unconditionally as he loves. He has a heart for humans that is bigger than the whole world and he is one of the most loving, entertaining and adventurous kittens. He is an incredible blessing and I am so glad he survived and is here with us. If you want a family pet that will brighten up your household and will become an incredible new addition to your loving family, Keats is all those things and more.
Keats has had all of his shots, including FeLV, has been dewormed and has been treated for fleas and ticks. He is fully litter box trained and is available for adoption by emailing us at contact@prettykittyrescue.org.
